The journey of an entrepreneur: mission, time and luck
Everyone knows that being an entrepreneur is hard work. It is all consuming. Entrepreneurs live, breathe, and sleep their company every day. At Slush 2014, John Malloy talks about the three words that are most central to being an entrepreneur: mission, time and luck. Having been an entrepreneur himself and invested in over 30 companies in the span of 16 years, John has walked the entrepreneur path. John talks about working with companies like PayPal and Waze from the beginning and how the path to success is never a straight one. The twists and turns of the entrepreneur journey are wrought with uncertainty but it is staying true to one's mission, balancing living in both the present and the future, and a bit of luck that make up the "je n'est sais quoi" of successful startups.
