Ganji.com is the leader of domestic classified websites.
As a web portal in China where users publish and exchange information, Ganji.com has been providing a variety of local information, such as estates for rent/sale, jobs, second hands, used cars, pets, tickets, education/training, group purchase, etc. Targeting the untapped local business market, Ganji is building a massive online community platform by focusing on the user and content where both the users’ and the local merchants’ needs are met.
Launched in 2005, the website has reached users in over 343 cities in China with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. By the end of June 2011, there were around 890,000 users posting every day, so the site aggregates a large amount of real-time information. The company completed a $70 million Series C round from Capital Today and Sequoia on May 6, 2011. China Renaissance acted as the exclusive financial advisor for Ganji. It is the biggest investment that a domestic classified website has ever received.
